The election of «fractals» for initiating the students to Mathematical Learning in English is motivated by the possibility to introduce contemporary approaches developed at the end of the 20th century.
I have elaborate some materials with the following goals:
- To incorporate the Common Mathematical Curriculum a significant number of hours taught in English in the 4 courses of Compulsary Secondary Education.
- To choose nowadays topics that do not appear in the textbooks and permit to apply the contents developed in the traditional Curriculum, at different levels and in a new context.
- To take advantage of the resources offered by new technologies and elaborate future propositions that can be applied to the Educational and Professional life.
- To adopt the CLIL methodology in order to integrate Mathematics Learning and English Language in the 4 C’s guiding principles of Contents, Communication, Cognition and Culture.
- To design activities modelling real situations in an easy way in order to appeal the other teachers to share the experience.
